Community description:A dark, intense, virtual eating disorder community
Midnight Feast is a book about repressed lesbian bulimic schoolgirls in this crazy, intense, OTT, and not even that well-written world — a dark, feminine, slightly mentally-ill community where anything happens, even if it's not allowed, where things can get blown out of proportion and love affairs can flare and die all in the same day.

[community profile] convent is a community based on the school in the book. Enrolling.

  • Have you read Midnight Feast? No? That would be a good place to start. See this post to be linked to it.

  • Posts should be members-only

  • You don't actually have to be female

  • You don't have to have an eating disorder either. Your call.

  • Being wanna and ~pro-anaz~ is on the other hand irritating

  • This is kind of like other ED communities, kind of like an RPG in that there's a background and a setting, but you're you, not a character

  • Meta is encouraged

  • You can talk about anything. It's about being friends, in what might be a slightly unhealthy, messed-up way

  • It's an everything, generic, discussion community as well. You can talk about books or relationships; it doesn't have to be 'on-topic,' just in keeping with the community style.

  • It also functions as a standard, vanilla ED community like the purgatorium, but with fewer rules on what you're not allowed to talk about. Less protection for newbies. That's why there's a content warning. We're all irresponsible here.

  • That said, it's not pro-ED. It's ED. You're just allowed to talk about it. Or whatever else you might chat about on a dark night under the full moon.

  • The functions of the community will probably change a bit, but being allowed to talk about reality without people saying 'omg, isn't that, like, a tip?' will not.

  • You have to be able to spell and form sentences. Exceptions if your first language isn't English, but for everyone else, that one is a rule.
